Seems to work good for me on medium difficulty.
Hi,
I'm from germany and haven't found a drum silencer set
out there yet so i baught @amazon.co.uk
I like it very much till now, and dont feel any loss of sensity
on the medium difficulty. these neopren/rubber pads work great
and the "clack, clack, clack" sound of drummin on plastic is now
much more silent "dunk,dunk,dunk" ^^
normally i play with earphones on, without the pads i
heared the "clack, clack" and with them i now hear nothin.
the only important thing i would recommend is to make really sure
every pad fits excellent on the drums, because if there is just
little air between the pads and the drums, the sound reduce isnt
existent, but if they are installed right its fun to play.
sry for my bad english.
have a nice day ;D -

Loss Of Noise = Loss Of Sensitivity... A Little.
Likewise with what has been written previously, the sensitivity has been lessened through the use of these pads. But i think roughly only 1 note in every 100 are dropped, depending on the speed of the hits.
I played "Behind Blue Eyes" to test these pads properly as the song has 2 minutes without drums, effectively giving you freestyle drums for that time. I played drums rolls and odd beats were missed, but only as i was playing softer and faster. With just a steady beat the drums connected with every hit. You do have to play harder then before but i think the majority wont have a problem.
You have to weigh up whether ud prefer to have quieter sound when playing, and next to no damage to the drums, or have the sensitivity that bit better but having that loud irritating sound.
Also i must note that the pads are so easy to get on and off that if you want to go for 100% on a song... just take them off! for £10 i think its worth it, they are very well made. -

Not very good
So I bought a set of these as my foam mousemat style pads were getting pretty worn.
The look nice and solid, and are made of thick rubber that stretch over the drum pads, including the rim so no more annotying rim hits.
The problem is that sensitivity is affected so much they are unworkable. My drums are very sensitive without the pads and I can do the fast drum rolls etc, but with these pads it's difficult to keep a multipier going even on basic beats as the sensitivity loss means that you will randomly drop notes.
I can't recommend these. I used them for 3 songs, sometimes hitting the drums way harder than I would normally, negating even the sound damping effects, and then gave up.
I gave these 2 stars rather than 1 as they *may* work better on a different model drumkit. I've got the UK release EL set.
