Dive into tropical waters and discover the life aquatic, a life of nature, beauty and intrigue. In Endless Ocean, you are the guest of a tranquil sea filled with creatures so unique they must be experienced up-close. More of an experience than a game of any sort, Endless Ocean gives you the freedom to explore underwater locations, searching for fish to photograph and place in your log, or simply take a relaxing swim among the inhabitants of the sea. You'll be able to directly interact with some species, using the Wii Remote to touch members of the undersea community. Come face-to-face with such animals as angelfish, penguins, walruses and dolphins. Whilst underwater, you can even find lost ruins and secret diving locations. The Wii Remote's pointer capabilities are used to navigate through most of the game, whether it's directing the ship to a location on a map or directing the diver which way to swim. When you want to interact with ocean life, you'll simply point at it and then press the A Button. In addition to searching your vast waters, you can share Friend Codes with a friend and explore his or her sea via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Dive together and share in an adventure like no other.

Will not appeal to everyone
As other reviewers have said - not really a game at all, just an opportunity to browse around the ocean with a few low key objectives to achieve (or not). Won't appeal to those who want action/shooting (unless to chill out after said action/shooting! Lol!)
It would've been nice if the diving could be more realistic, i.e. the possibility of running low on air or out of bottom time - this could possibly have brought the game into a true dive simulator & would have given non-divers a bit more realism.
On the upside it is suitable for youngsters too - my 8yr old loves it and as he has starting scuba diving for real he really relates to it. It is fuelling his desire to be a marine biologist!
In summary it is worth getting if you want a truly relaxing experience rather than a game - hard core gamers will get bored!

Rubbish. Complete and utter rubbish!!
Don't buy this game if you are under 40! Strictly for non gamers and people who have a resting heart rate of 20bpm. Yawn. I have no clue what the other reviewer are raving about. You basically float around looking at boring fish. It would be more fun if a whale or big shark chased you around a bit. I really wish I had saved my cash!

Relaxing game
Brought this game - hubby was a bit unsure if he would like it, thinking it was aimed at those ie the wife who doesn't do "shoot them up" games! But WOW we both fell in love with this game, and have spent many a happy hour together unwinding after work playing this game.

Well worth getting if you just want a game to help you chill, but also to expand your knowledge of life under the ocean! This knowledge certainally helped the hubby when he won a quiz based on his knowledge of life under the ocean!

Lovely game, but not for hardcore
I think this game is great, but its definitely not for the hard core gamer market. My six year old also loves it, she's played it the most (some 20 hrs in a week). There is a plot to it, and some tasks, but on the whole they are both relatively simple. The fun is finding & identifying the sea life and seeing what animals will turn up on your boat. The "ocean" can get a bit familiar - its all basically tropical reef & white sand - although there are some "features" like a cave, ruin, deep raveen etc. We can all identify a load more breeds of sea life than we could before. Definitely worth the price. Very relaxing to just drift about in the sea for a while after work!

Endless Ocean? Rubbish. Don't buy it.
I got this game a few months ago, it is nowhere near as good as I thought it would be. I had to rate it 1 star because it wouldn't allow me to give any less. It's uninteresting, boring, no action, I like a bit of action, like shooting, etc. All you just do is swim around. I traded it in for the game Family Ski, which is what you'll be doing after a week of boring swimming on the Wii. Just get Wii Play instead. Get Mario & Sonic at the Olympics instead. JUST DON'T GET ENDLESS OCEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
