The smaller, sleeker version of the original Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DS Lite combines dual screen action with Touch Screen interaction, providing the player with a unique gaming experience. The system also includes wireless communication technology, allowing gamers to join their friends in multiplayer games, or use the system's embedded PictoChat software to send messages and drawings to each other. The Nintendo DS Lite is revolutionising handheld gaming. With two super-sharp, backlit LCD screens, the Nintendo DS Lite offers a groundbreaking new approach to gaming. Each 3-inch screen is capable of producing true 3D graphics; the DS has the power to produce even more advanced visuals than the Nintendo 64 could display. Plus you can adjust the screens' brightness in four different levels to adapt to different lighting conditions. The possibilities are limitless - one screen can be used to show the main action, while another might be used as a map, inventory, or secondary viewpoint - or both screens can be used simultaneously to depict huge boss characters! With a powerful rechargeable lithium ion battery pack and recharger included with every Nintendo DS Lite, the system offers up to 19 hours of play on a single recharge*; so there's no need for additional battery packs. Nintendo DS Lite recharges to full capacity in three hours - one hour less than Nintendo DS. The system also includes a clock, calendar and alarm functions, and you can select other details like the colour of the background screen, your birthday and your nickname. *Nintendo DS Lite battery life is dependent on brightness setting used.

Great Fun..but not enough..
The pink Nintendo DS..
I got a Nintendo DS in december 07,by April 2008 i had sold it on. I really, really wanted one and when i got it was completly addicted to it,perfect for when your partners watching the football! The Games appealed to me and i loved that i could take it anywhere and loved how it looked..but then i started to get bored because the games were too short and easy and i ended up not playing on it because i had completed all the games. I think i found i was too old for it at 20 and it was better for younger children as the games were too easy and childish. I would recommend it for children 100% as its great fun and educational. But if your older and like a bit more of a challenge then you may get bored quickly and feel like theres nothing that will last you a good few months of play time. I bought some games and completed them in the same day which is disapointing when you spend £24.99 on a game. I would highly recommend anyone who does have one to purchase Harvest moon because this is a game which really makes the nintendo ds come into its own.
Overall 8/10 -

I love my DS Lite - Really I do!
I have never been a video game player, even though my younger brother had every video game console from the Sega Mega Drive, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Atari Lynxx, GameBoy, Play Station and many others etc etc etc... plus every game you can imagine. I tried Sonic the Hedgehog and after about three minutes of pure frustration with some stupid control pad with too many coloured buttons on, I left never to return.
So when he showed me his latest purchase of a DS Lite I edged away cautiously, until I saw the Brain Training in play, within minutes I had gone online and bought my own and have never looked back since. I have now become a total addict, that was last November. It's just such great fun and it travels everywhere with me with my ever growing collection of games.
It's the best fun and the really great bit is the battery lasts for ages, so it's just perfect when you are stuck in an airport and have a few hours to while away.
Buy one, you won't regret it for a minute. -

Pink Nintendo DS
My daughter Chloe says "I would recommend this DS to anyone thinking of buying one. I have had mine for about 1 year now and have had loads of fun with it. There are educational games available for it too. I have lots of games that i like to play. I play on it all the time. " -

My new best friend
Okay, not exactly 'new'. I've had my DS for almost a year now.
I've loved it for almost a year, too.
I chose pink because it was quite girly and I just liked the color of it. I use an R4 Card and let me just tell you it is the bomb. I can carry almost 30 games around with me all the time.
The battery lasts for ages and I this is just wonderful to play and to own. The games are so much more fun than the dreaded PSP
