Song of the south
This is one of the best Disney films ever - the story and the songs are brilliant and really catchy. I would love to buy this on DVD as my tape is getting worn. Please Disney do a DVD - everyone loves this film!!!

victim of pc...
There is NO dvd release of this film, and the reason is obvious : the little children are not to be exposed to the now politically incorrect sesitivity of "song of the south".....WHAT RUBBISH !...if films like "gone with the wind", ANY film from the 1930's with a black character and even, for heavens sake, "birth of a nation" are widely available on dvd then i cannot for the life of me understand why a simple and harmless tale like this should be withheld from distribution. Sure there are points of contention and discussion that should be adressed concerning the attitude towards the black characters in this film, rightly so some people are offended by it, but how can that be done if the work itself is not available for viewing ?

****Absolutely Brilliant - Must Watch****
I searched for ages for this video, remembering it as a child. Particularly Brer Rabbit and his old pal Brer Bear. The songs and story were just as I remembered if not better.
Zippy De Doo Dah!!!!! Finally found it and paid well over the price for it but it was well worth it. The animation and live action are put together so well it is almost believable.
Couldn't believe it when given another copy just a few weeks ago as a present!!!!
A film I will always recommend as a definate must see. For all children and adults. A wonderful, colourful spectacle filled with fascinating creatures as it states on the back.

'Zip a Dee Doo Dah'
I grew up with the film. However after a long time of not seeing it all I really remembered was the song and Br'er Rabbit. Of course I also had the book of Tales of Uncle Remus. Upon more recent viewing I was able to fill in the parts that I missed or forgot.

Johnny's father has something to do and leaves him and his mother with her mother. There Johnny gets to meet Uncle Remus; the same Uncle Remus that told tales to his mother. The tales are of different animals such as the clever Br'er Fox always out to have Br'er Rabbit for supper. As he spins the tail Johnny, and we, are mesmerized. The movie incorporates animated characters with real. I will not go into the story as you need to se it for your self.
