Tremendous fun for all
Actually we bought this for £1.50 from a charity shop but over the past 2 years it has proved a major hit with the whole family. In contrast to others, our version appears to be reasonably well made and the sticks are both long enough and flexible enough to work perfectly.

The only down side of the game is the time taken to set it up - poking the sticks through the holes. A bit of care and attention pays off here if the marbles are to be retained for as long as possible. We give the kids a section each to fit the stick in and this keeps them amused for several minutes.

Marbles falling are accompanied by gales of laughter. One of the most popular toys that we own and a real design classic.

ker .....what mummy
Wonderful in the fact that it reminds me of my own childhood, I had one of these games when I was younger, but I remember mine being more of a cone shape and that the sticks were easier to put in.

My five year old likes the fact that the marbles make such a noise when they come down the tube and fall out and even counting the marbles is fun, better if he has more though than his sister, but dislikes the amount of time it takes to put the sticks in and assemble it ready to play, I think that five year olds want something that is fun instantly.

The sticks really are messy and fiddly to place into the plastic container, god help the travel one, trying to move and place them in (could be the start of a whole new game there!) It really would be a case of "please god let us be there NOW".

Quite a fun game and still has the fun of the original game, how is it that as soon as one becomes a parent that they have to buy their off spring the toys/games that they had as a child, could it be that they never grew up in the first place or that they want to recreate their own idilic childhood in the here and now?

Have noticed as of 5/5/07 that Toysarus are doing a deal of buy any MB Game and get a £12.99 Little Pet Tamagotche free or free DVD Football(cann't remember exactly which named DVD. Could be worth putting freebie away for a present.

not worth it
I had high hopes for this game, being one of the few for the younger age range available, and to encourage family time yet I am dissapointed. It's a lot flimsier and cheaper manufacture than I expected for the name - something I might've expected if anything from a cheaper non branded version. The plastic sticks are bendy and generally too short...we spent most our time trying to get them to stay in the holes during attachment as they kept falling out. Also nothing much happens...by the time you've spent your adult time setting it up to impatient requests to begin the game then you do and it's over pretty quickly, the marbles often falling in large numbers at once down a very short slide, then to be collected by you and transferred into your area for score counting. My neice got a similar monkey version from elc and it was cheaper and no worse, and had more interest to my daughter and neices who liked the animal element. I think this toy is just for parents like myself who remember the name but in reality, as a game, it's not very good or well constructed.

Nice idea - shame about the quality
Lovely idea and we looked forward to playing it with our 4 year old. However we couldn't get it set up for the marbles to flow freely though the tubes - they "logged-jammed" in the middle due to poor fit of plastic parts.
A real disappointment.

I've played this game before and found that my children loved.
I laughed so much when they made the marbles fall down, because my girls all screamed. A very fun game to play.
