Good
On Vista getting write speeds of 7 MB/s and read speeds of 24 MB/s (not bad). Has a nice sturdy feel. Would buy again. -

It Works!
It works perfectly for me, although the software included wasn't all that good so i deleted it and installed "PortableApps".
The only thing I would say is that it does take longer than other USB's (Sandisk Micro) to start up. -

I can highly recommend it!
I bought this product as I already have a 400GB external hard drive from Freecom which is just brilliant. Looking for a memory stick with more than 2GB, I was of course first looking at Freecom products.
After reviewing all other Amazon reviews for the 16 GB Databar, I just ordered it last Sunday and had it in my mailbox on Tuesday (with Super Saver Delivery!).
The product delivers what I expected: very light, compact, tiny and easy to use. Just plug in (deal a few min with Carry it Easy software) and here we go! Just to say, the transfer time for files from Laptop to the Databar is slightly longer than I experience with the 400GB external hard drive.
To sum it up: a great product and I'm even thinking of getting a second one. I can highly recommend it. Hope this helps. -

Superb
This is the third Freecom Databar I own. My other two are 4gb.
The reliability of these Databars is excellent. I have had
the other ones for roughly eight months and had no problems
with them whatsoever.
The design is perfect. It's sleek and has a tight fitting dust
proof cap.
There is a hole for a key chain at opposite end of cap.
Freecom make superb reliable no nonsense usb sticks, (and external
hard drives)which I highly recommend. -

Form follows function...
What more is there to say? This is a lightweight, compact, robust 16 gigabyte (16,000,000 bytes) memory stick. I use mine to transfer a variety of file types quickly between a range of laptops and PCs running both XP and Vista, at home and at work. It is recognised instantly and file transfer is relatively fast considering the size of some of my animation and video files.
The data stick holds a 30 day trial version of Carry It Easy software with quick file synchronisation (including a portable version of Outlook Express) and security settings including password protection. The full version of the software can be purchased online for £8.63. Personally, I prefer to just drag and drop files between windows and have deleted the software in favour of space.
I have several Freecom products (e.g.Freecom Databar 8GB USB2.0 and Freecom Classic 500GB External HDD, USB2 Black); all of them are great gadgets with very basic aesthetics...definitely a case of "form follows function"; the function being reliable, compact storage at a reasonable price.
