Great product
I love this little drive. I use it for back-up from a Windows XP PC with third-party (freeware) software, SyncBack, which is brilliant.

Transfer seems fast and I've had no technical problems at all.

Mac users stay away
Mac users should avoid this item at all costs, sleep feature brilliant for window users who can turn it off, not so great for mac os when you cannot turn it off and so when you are using it as a library for music, it sleeps and so itunes stops working. all my photos and music have been lost as a result of this drive failing and seagate refusing to recover my data as it is claimed that an external harddrive is not a back up but an archive. drive now is not recognised on leopard, being replaced for free under the 5year warranty, however reluctant to get a replacement as worried will happen again.

Small, quiet and 'quite fast' drive from Seagate
Small, quiet and really portable drive. Average speed 25 MB/s is not impressive comparing to 7200rpm 3.5 models but this drive is designed for easy access and mobility- not for speed! 5 years limited warranty included. 2 USB ports required!
