Brilliant webcam for travelling
I originally bought a Webcam Pro 9000 which was so brilliant I decided to use that for home and buy myself the laptop specific Logitech webcam. I use it for keeping in touch with home when I am away.
The quality is superb even over free Skype for video, sound and photo. The automatic light meter and autofocus are particularly good at making sure you get a really goo picture. It is much much better than the cheaper webcams. It is a pleasure to use and really great for staying in touch.
It clips securely onto my laptop screen and has a great little case for travelling and comes with a stand. If you are travelling a lot I would recommend this model over the 9000 (although the 9000 is still very very good and I would not have bothered to replace it if I hadn't have needed to replace the very big and retro rubbish old £20 Logitech at home).
Money well spent.

Brilliant camera. Check the contents in the box carefully!!!
Bought this to replace the basic version of logitech for notebook. The basic one was ok but it had very limited vision - only your face. We are having a new baby in a few weeks. We thought we would get a better one to use for skype video calls to grandparents who live abroad. Installed it as soon as I got it. It's brilliant. Much wide vision. When I was using the basic one, sometimes calls kept dropping. I use to think it was the problem with my internet connection but now I realised having a good camera is the solution. Just tried video call and the quality of video and audio were briliant. I prefer to use the stand that comes with the camera. It provides even wider vision. Installation was very straight forward. Suggest you go on to www.logitech.com/support to download the installation software rather than using the cd comes with the camera. That way you are making sure you get the latest version.

**** 2 people gave reviews earlier claimed they didn't have the cases. I do, but its hidden in a seperate compartment of the packaging and quite easy to miss it. So check the contents in the box carefully. ****

Excellent piece of kit
Firstly service from Amazon was excellent.
Having read a few reviews of this item took the advice of installing the latest software version from the Logitech website rather than use the enclosed CD. Once software installed plugged in camera when instructed and waited a few minutes. As previously advised by other reviewers this does take a few minutes but just be patient. After this followed link to install Skype and was up and running in minutes. Camera and microphone quality both excellent. Relatives in New Zealand could even tell the colour of my baby son's eyes.

Only negatives stand needs more base weight (will probably put some Playdough to sort this out) and clip for top of laptop pretty poor.

Works easily with Linux
The quality of this camera is great, and has been reviewed by others, but thought I'd add a comment to mention that it works - out of the box - with Ubuntu. No driver installation required, just plug it in and use it. Tested with Skype, X-lite and other video conferencing software.

I agree that installing the drivers on windows is a bit of a pain, but that's windows fault not the camera's, and Logitech go to great lengths to help you install it properly on Windows, so don't worry about it, just follow the instructions.

Would definitely recommend this camera, and all Logitech QuickCam Pro cameras for professional quality.

High quality, compact size and fascinating features in a elegantly designed webcam.
As I always trusted logitech products beacuse of their thorough research and testing phases. This product has exceeded my expectations. I think it is the best notebook webcam out in the market.Great product in relation to monetary value paid for it. Below is some of my well thought and accumulated perceptions of the product that may help you make good buying decision:

Image and video quality: Best in the market especially if you are on the move.

Installation: 5 minutes with simple steps.

Size: Very small size designed specifically to move with special sponge carrying bag.

Features: High quality, ulra automatic adjustment feature would make it an ample webcam in any lighting environment (sunny, dark, cloudy, in room etc.).

Good luck and I take an opportunity to recommend this webcam to individuals who value innovation, quality and value based satisfaction.
