A shame
The setup for this webcam was very easy, however, when I try to take a photo with it, the screen is black, you can't take a photo on this webcam because, if, for example, you wanted to take a photo of yourself, you can't see yourself on the screen, just blacl, and it won't let you change the brightness and contrast of the webcam. If anyone however knows how to fix this, could you please tell me. -

web cam
For the price your going to pay, this is a very good webcam, good value for money. It's 100% ideal for making video calls over msn or skype etc. It comes with easily installed software that allows the user to adjust colour, brightness and contrast settings etc. It is very small and looks good on my lcd monitor. It would also fit on my dwnstairs ctr but cannot say for certain this would be the same with all ctrs. This camera has a decent in built microphone which can also be used on the ps3 as it connects via usb.
Now, id say this camera roughly records around 20 fps The lip synch could be alot better but u cannot complain at all for the price. however if your planning to make a vlog for utube, u cant it just looks silly, u will have to invest in a better camera.
to sumerise, good value for money, the mic is ps3 compatible, no problems with vista, clear picture with adjustable settings and fits easily onto any lcd monitor at least. =) -

Not Vista compatible
Sadly, whatever this product might claim, and whatever other reviewers might say about it, it is NOT compatible with Windows Vista. The first thing the installation disc does is display a message to this effect. If, like me, you plough on with the installation regardless, you may reach the point where you are told the installation has been successful - but not successful enough to operate the camera!
I'm sure this is a good product on other operating systems (XP for example), but if you have Vista (which has a lot to answer for in its general uncooperativeness with other software) it just won't work. -

unpleasantly suprised
After reading through the reviews I was looking forward to receiving this little webcam. It is small but very fiddly. It wont last long. I am sorry that I did not go for one a bit more robust. That said, it is one of the problems about buying online - you dont get to handle the goods. There seems to be a lot of dropped frames on 2 machines with 1gb and 2 gb ram. Not recommended.
