ummmm, whats going on?
I have had two of these sticks for a little while now.
At the start they were great. Worked fine. Back then, the only quibble I had with them was that they were so big and clunky. Strong construction, but they felt cheap. Oh, and because they were so big you could not put anything in the adjoining USB ports, which was very annoying. (think 3 usb ports on a laptop, one with mouse, one with wireless dongle and you get the idea)
But they worked well, nice and quickly.
Until last week. One of them just plain stopped working. The computer did not even register that it was attached. Believe me, I tried, and with different systems. When I plugged it into a Mac, it made a funny whirring noise, but nothing else. Not too worried, I pulled out the other one from the draw (this one being my back up) It had also worked fine in the past, but now data transfer is very slow, and sometimes, it just plain stops working.

Its cheap. Kinda says it all

Just thought I would write a review on this product because to my amazement this pen drive actually survived a full wash cycle and tumble dry cycle when I made the mistake of leaving it in my trouser pocket. Other than that its cheap, very easy to use and very reliable.

Can I give this thing a ZERO rating???
Great price but not much use if the thing works barely intermitantly. Take my hard won advice - spend a little more and get something you can rely on!

ByteStor 128MB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
I bought this USB pen on 6th May 2005. It worked fine until it suddenly died on me today. I gave one star due to its unreliability.

2 + years and no problems at all
I have had this drive now for over 2 years and have had no problems. I would reccomend this 100% as its cheap, robust and reliable. The only downside is the physical size of the drive; however, there is a smaller version available which i am considering upgrading to. Would reccommend every time.
