Radio show is the 'hook'
As always, Frasier is wonderfully scripted and brilliantly acted, by all the cast, including ,of course, a dog. Be warned however, that Frasier is 'out of work' for alot of this series, and it does make you realise, that without his radio show, the series loses its hook. Other that, faultless, and worth purchase alone for Merry Christmas Mrs Moskovitz - a brilliant episode.

great series / terrible picture quality
The picture reproduction on this DVD is terrible! What happened? No problem with series 1-4 but since a new company pressed 5 & 6 the transfer to DVD is awful! Really disappointing..... Definitely not going to bother buying 7 - 10 if this is the quality.. You get a better picture recording from TV...

Still great, but heres where the quality starts to fall apart
After five years of quality storylines and top notch jokes, sadly season 6 is where Frasier started to show some signs of wear and tear, not much, but a little. Season six is still an excellent season with more than a few classic storylines, these being where Niles and Frasier are accused of murdering the mysterious Maris and in another where Frasiers good deeds come back to bite him in the ass when he gets arrested for curb crawling. The best episode, in my book anyway, is the first one where Frasier has been fired and finds himself having to deal with a range of emotions which he carries out in his usual zany way.

The clunkers from this season are IQ and a slightly weak appearance from Woody (yes, that Woody from Cheers). Surprisingly the Cheers reunion episodes throughout Frasier's run all seem to be weak in storylines, except Shelley Longs back in Season 3. So if you are a Frasier fan I see no reason why you should not pick up this release and if your not familiar with this sitcom, what planet are you from?

A highly recommended release: BUY IT!

About time
At long last season 6 is about to be released, 2 years after its DVD release in America and some 8 years after it was on telly!
Season six is a good season but not great. Still for those who have been waiting so long there is much to enjoy, 'Good grief' shows Frasier at his lowest ebb, fat and unhappy at his unemployment. Having been urged his brother to "let it all out" against their dads advice, its hilarious to watch Niles' futile attempts to shut off the water works!
'The seal who came to dinner' is a surreal descent into lunacy as the 2 hapless brothers try to stage a society soiree with a rotting seal stuck outside.
'Dr. Nora' is a fans favourite with a self righteous radio presenter giving Frasier grief until he unwittingly unleashes her past upon her!
'To tell the truth' is a classic where all involved lie to one of Daphne's old boyfriends from England in order to save her from him but when she changes her mind it inevitably goes horribly wrong.
Although not the strongest season the truth is that there are no unfunny Frasiers and even theleast of them leave most other shows struggling to get anywhere near.
The scriptwriting was as good as its ever going to get for comedy and the acting by all involved was of a very high standard, even Moose the dog playing Eddie was excellent.
As late a release as this is if you are one of the army of Frasier fans out there and you haven't already bought the region 1 release then it really doesn't make any difference what any review says does it? You've probably already got this on pre-order and quite rightly so. If you haven't already seen the show,(where have you been hiding?), then start with season 1 and see what all the fuss has been about. This is one of the greatest shows, comedy or otherwise, that television has ever seen.

A long awaited release and well worth the wait
Frasier season 6 marks a turning point in the life of TV's favourite shrink, as it begins with him newly unemployed, following the changes made by the new owners of radio station KACL (which now focuses on Latino music 24 hours a day). Gaining weight and feeling unwanted, Frasier tries to reverse his failing fortunes, with varying degrees of success. Meanwhile, brother Niles is feeling the financial strain of divorcing his unseen wife Maris, and has to adapt to a surprise new lifestyle which has to be seen to be believed! Can the Crane brothers ever get back their familiar lifestyles? Other storylines in this season include the appearance of one of Frasier's old buddies from Cheers; a new nemesis for Frasier in the form of viper-tongued Dr. Nora; and a major development in the Niles and Daphne, will-they-won't-they plotline. The sixth season contains the following episodes:

1. Good Grief
2. Frasier's Curse
3. Dial M For Martin
4. Hot Ticket
5. First, Do No Harm
6. Secret Admirer
7. How To Bury A Millionaire
