Trully breath-taking.
For those that have not even picked up a musical instrument before. This film is sassy and witty with a good storyline. The acting is above par, for a teen movie and it has the credentials of a classic teen movie.
Shame that it got little publicity.

Dreams really do come true for Devon
Devon is a very talented young street drummer. He will do whatever he can, any which way he can to get in the Drumline at his new school.
Without being able to read music he does make it, but is then dismissed from the band when it is discovered by his biggest rival that he cannot read music, all his performances are done from memory of watching someone else.
With determination, he helps the band with a new performance.
His staggering courage helps him win back the place that he had in the Drumline when they need his help at the last minute.
Film about a young man that follows his dream far enough to get it.
Nick Cannon justifies the role of Devon. No-one could have done it better.
An inspiring film for anyone with a talent.

explosion of sounds
This film is an explosion of sounds. The choregraphy and musical direction is unbelievable. It is the story of a street drummer from Harlem who becomes the drum band leader of a souther university. The dance routines in the competion are incredible. It is not a violent film but during the finale of the band competition you can feel the tension between the two teams mounting. Marching bands and hip hop music do not tend to go together but in this case it really does work. Idealy it needs to be watched on wide screen with a good surround system
