Odd...
I don't own these, but I did pick them up in a local store whilst browsing other Living Kitchen items. I gave them 2 stars because I think they are rather tacky and wouldn't want them in my kitchen, however, I actually wrote this review because the ones I picked up definately had hinged lids, so perhaps there are some which do and some which don't.

Not as good as the rest of Living Kitchen products
Unfortunately I have to agree - the lids don't sit properly on the tins. I think they do look beautiful though - so two stars. I have a huge collection of Nigella Lawson's Living Kitchen products and I'm very happy with the rest, just not so much with the tins.

More shabby than chic
I too purchased three tins (tea, coffee, sugar) and I have to agree with the previous reviewer - the product is not as described in that the tins are not stackable, there are no hinges and they are not airtight. Disappointing.

Cheap and nasty
I was really looking forward to getting this item (I ordered the 3 items making up a set of tea coffee and sugar tins) for my new kitchen. How disappointed was I when they arrived!! For starters they DO NOT stck properly...actually, make that at all. They DO NOT have hinged lids. They ARE NOT airtight.....the coffee tin lid wouldnt even stay on properly. In addition to this both the tea and sugar tins were scratched.
