Make light work of chopping those herbs.....
Just arrived, and already used!

aka A `mezzaluna', which is the Italian word for 'half moon' - this two handed curved blade `knife', in stainless steel with comfortable brushed steel handles.

Embossed with Nigella's logo.

Just the right weight and shape...although a bit of an 'acquired technique', it is actually quite easily mastered - especially when used with Nigella's 'Mezzaluna Board', which I would also recommend for its shape and size.

The 'Living Kitchen' Herb Chopper is easily washed up, or do it the 'express way', and pop it in the dishwasher, but watch that blade - it is truly SHARP!

A super kitchen gadget which has made me leave my favourite 'Kitchen Devils' in the drawer, tonight!

The first and possibly the best!
This is the first item I bought from the Living Kitchen range over a year ago and I must say I love it, it comes out almost daily, not just for chopping herbs, but for anything whoich needs to be finely chopped when getting the food processor out is just too much washing up! I haven't had to worry about keeping it sharp and mine is used very often and has been for a long time.

I would really advise buying the matching board too, as the size of it is so convenient and the mezzeluna fits perfectly into the scooped out middle.

Great to use, beautiful to look at.
The size is fantastic, it feels lovely in your hand, good weight.
It is one solid piece and is dishwasher safe.
Did I mention that its beautiful!?

Solved my wrist problems - chops herbs like a dream
This mezzaluna is equipped with a wonderfully sharp blade, which is much longer (wider) than others I've seen and therefore better for larger amounts of herbs. It also deals very well with small quantities. The handles fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and the rocking motion to chop the herbs is quite intuitive, even if you're starting out on a flat board (i.e. haven't bought the matching beech board.) I had never used a half-moon blade like this before but found it very easy to pick up.

I bought this because I chop a lot of herbs for home cookery but have RSI-type wrist injuries and I found using a knife painful. This is a wonderful solution for me as the wrist action is very different - I guess it comes from the shoulders or elbows and less stress is put on the wrists.

As I stated the blade is very sharp but there are no instructions on how to keep it sharp. I may ask advice from a chef if I notice it get blunt.

I've also reviewed the matching board (which is not the one pictured above) but Amazon have not published it yet for some reason.
