Slightly impractical but very beautiful
We got these 4 years ago and have used them a lot.

Bad points first: The permanent black scratch marks after using an electric whisk were a bit of a suprise. It's alright saying it makes them looked loved and well-used but when you've paid that much money for something basically just for its looks then it's a bit galling. And no other mixing bowl I've used has left marks that obvious. Also when using an electric whisk the oval design makes it a bit awkward to whisk properly and you risk splashing mixture out of the narrow end.

But...they are very versatile - we've used them for all sorts of things - salad, serving all kinds of food at table, making dressings etc. and they look gorgeous on the table. The range of sizes is VERY useful.

Overall I would definitely get them again and I do love them, but I do think it's just because they look so good. A traditional mixing bowl would be more practical for everyday baking (but not as nice!).

I love these!
I simply love them. Ok, £40 for 4 bowls is a bit much you might say, but they're not only practical (the shape makes them great - whisking is so much easier in this shape of bowl and pouring-out things once you've made them is super-easy too), they're also very stylish. Why reserve them for use as mixing-bowls when they're perfect for serving from too? The range of sizes makes them really versatile. I love them!!!

Love them!
These bowls are absolutely gorgeous, they make you feel like baking all the time, just so you can get them out! I love the creaminess if the Living Kitchen range and these bowls envoke the spirit of a traditional kitchen mixed with an up to date style.

One thing I don't understand is people criticising items for getting general wear and tear. The scuff marks on the inside of the bowls is to be expected if you plan on doing anything more than displaying them in a glass case. It all adds to the beauty. I feel it shows they are well used and loved items and it adds a little nostalgia for all of the lovely things which have been mixed up in them in the past!

So so beautiful
I recieved these bowls for Christmas two years ago and I think they are just so so beautiful and also very very useful. Yes they do mark if you use an electric whisk, but still they are wonderful. Usually when you use them there is something in the bowl so you don't see the marks anyway!! The four sizes are so useful - for both preparing and presenting food.

The little one is perfect for salad dressings, the next one up is just right for crisps or fruit, the third for small salads or desserts and the large one is great for baking (the shape really helps when whisking by hand) or for serving large salads etc.

Just gorgeous!

Good design, bad quality
We got a set of these bowls for our wedding. They look good and the design is nice and innovative. However, an electric whisk produces black marks inside which don't wash out and they are not heat resistant. When I poured hot soup into my largest one it cracked in two. Not quite what you expect from a kitchen bowl, and certainly not at that price.
