IDOL
what can i say to that idiots remark.did tony adams ever guide a team to european glory?all he ever did was play well in a good. steven gerrard has played in poor teams and made them look like world beaters.and roy keane bloody walked out on his country in world cup 2002,that shows what a captain he was for ireland.gerrard is not only world class compared to average premier league players, but also compared to the likes of roy keane and tony adams. hes the most versatile player in world football.he scored over 20 goals from right midfield(aparently a position he cant play in)...played right back for a large part of istanbul(a large reason why milan couldnt find another goal) and on uncountable occasions won games single handedly from centre and attacking midfield positions.how could you ever say hes not an insperational captain?hes liverpool through and through,in modern times thats hard to find.look at arsenals and uniteds captains. apart from that he leads by example.just him being on the pitch gives confidance, never mind when he nails a midfielder with a tackle that frank lamaprd would have nightmares over,or when he whacks a 40 yarder pinpoint pass, or one of his trademark 30 yard sledgehammer goals. liverpool couldnt have a better captain in my eyes,or anyone who has any sense when it comes football. and when it comes to captaining england, when was the last time england had a captain who had real success? A True Legend
Don't listen to the other review. They clearly don't know anything! Any Liverpool fan and any football fan knows that Stevie has been an inspirational captain that is worthy of being called a modern day football legend! -

Ironic given he is not the real captain of Liverpool
This is the guy who captained England to defeat against Croatia (2-3) and when he really needed to step upto the plate he simply bottled it. Would a Roy Keane or Tony Adams captain like him - NO.
He maybe the captain of Liverpool but if you ask any knowledgeable Liverpool fan they will tell you Carragher has more influence in that dressing room and is a lot cleverer and big hearted than the conceited Gerrard. One might say Carragher is the de-facto Captain of Liverpool. When they play Carra is the only controlling things and organising.
A book not worthy of being published.
