hooked!!!! strike by lighting!!! obsessed,a total page turner!!!
my oh my...the last time i couldnt let go of a book was when i read the da vinci code...i read this book from cover to cover , it was ridiculous, i started around 4pm and didnt stop until 3am ,and i had to carry the kids to school next morning..even so i couldnt put it down , you know how you keep saying one more little chapter which turns into 5more and etc etc..

crazy how good this book is, i had misconceptions about it , it's been a year since i heard they were making a film but i thought the whole idea of mixing vampires with high school was stupid and made no sense and thinking where could it go...well now i know i'm in love with edward then again who isnt sighhhh...

everything about this novel reminds you how crucial little details like pushing back one's strand of hair or just slightly touching that "other" person, a look, a smile are essential in that 1st experience of true love, or crush well those 1st times that occur mostly in high school, the drama the intensity is felt ten times more than a usual adult...love it so much i'm gonna read it back again while i wait for the other sequels to arrive which i'm about to order, and definetly going to watch the film too....THIS IS A MUST BUY BOOK YOU WONT REGRET IT...

The best book I have ever read!
Well I ordered Twilight from amazon as a bit of a change to my normal reading material. I usually stick with stuff like Harry Potter, Eragon, stuff with lots of magic and other worlds.

Twilight is absolutely addictive. I opened it on my lunch break at work and finished it the same evening.
I love the way the author steers away from the typical vampire trends and I absolutely adore that there is a massive love element to the story but not in the usual corny way.
Im not the best review writer so the rest of the good reviews on here will do the book more justice but i would deffo recommend anyone to read this book. I am obsessed and waiting for the next 3 books to be delivered.

A work of art.

An exciting first novel
When Isabella moves to the small town of Forks, she finds it difficult to adapt to the life of the rural community. However, she soon notices the glamorous Cullen family and is particularly drawn to the beautiful Edward. As she learns more about the supernatural mysteries which surround the family, she finds she cannot resist him even if the development of the relationship brings her danger.
The Vampire Myth is updated for a teenage audience and following writers such as Anne Rice, vampires are portrayed as glamorous intelligent beings blessed with supernatural speed and ability. Meyer's writing is atmospheric and her clumsy heroine's self-doubt make her an attractive and likeable narrator. The novel itself is a bit slow to get started but the ending is powerful and exciting. I am looking forward to reading other books on this series.

A quick, enjoyable, page turner!
Taking on board that the writing could have been better and the characters more elaborated on, Twilight is a riveting read, full of teenaged sexual tension, leaving you unable to put it down for more than a minute - I literally didn't leave my room for 2 days. For reference, I'm 17, just in the bracket of the target audience.
Possible spoilers ahead.
Bella Swan, who, unfortunately, you come to hate, moves to the dreary town of Forks to live with her father, in order to give her mother a bit of space with her new husband. Upon arriving she almost instantaneously stumbles upon the town's most mysterious residents - the Cullens. Beautiful and mystifying, she's unable to keep away and quickly becomes involved with the youngest and only available member - Edward. Now, I know he's only fictional, but he is gorgeous. There's no two ways about it. Some of the things that he says, fictionally of course, make me personally melt inside. I've, time and time again, asked my boyfriend to read it so he can learn from Edward/Meyer. ;)
I've read other reviews criticising the relationship between Edward and Bella, saying that it is superficial, weak and not something we should be aspiring for, however I disagree. Their relationship is deep and pure, and beyond anything ever possible in this world. At first it IS based on looks and, in Edward's case, scent, but isn't any relationship based on that to begin with?
Another trait I've heard mocked is Meyer's writing style. Granted, and I accept, it isn't the best, I could probably write better, but her ideas and imagination, I believe, make up for her poor ability to portray them.
I would recommend this to anyone who can stomach constant and intense romance, soppiness and, essentially, cheesiness. If you can follow it through to the end, when the action begins, do it because you won't be disappointed. For me, this book was worth all the hype it has so far received and much, much more.

Twilight- the new harry potter?
Millions have read Harry Potter, but what do you think ? Does twilight surpass the Potter's? I believe so, this has to be the best book I have read in a long time. Can't wait for the film!
